DriverMetrics Celebrates 13th Anniversary

DriverMetrics, the leading provider of driver safety programmes is marking its thirteenth year of trading.

DriverMetrics has firmly established itself as a thought leader in driver education. It’s integrated risk assessment and eLearning programme is now used worldwide by hundreds of leading fleets, including Unilever, Greyhound Bus and Shell.

In 2016 DriverMetrics was awarded the Prince Michael Award for International Road Safety, cited as “an extremely effective and well-developed, evidence-based programme delivered across the world”. In October 2018, Brake awarded DriverMetrics the Dr Will Murray Award for Analysis and Action.

Dr Lisa Dorn, Research Director and Founder of DriverMetrics said, “I am very proud that we have been able to make a significant impact in reducing work-related risk around the world and look forward to continuing to do so.”

Richard Hill, Managing Director commented, “Thank you to all our partners and customers, for their support over the years. Together, we will continue with our mission to improve fleet safety”.

DriverMetrics® Responds to UK Road Safety Statistics

DriverMetrics®, the multi-award winning provider of global driver safety programmes, has called for a renewed focus on solutions that assess the human factor and are proven to change high risk driver behaviours.

This follows the recent announcement by the Department for Transport that there were 1,793 reported road deaths in 2017, an increase of one compared to 2016, and the highest annual total since 2011.

Richard Hill, Managing Director commented, “Despite massive investment in technological solutions, the road casualty statistics remain stagnant. Technology clearly has an important role to play in monitoring driver behaviour and improving safety, but to driver behaviour for the long term we recommend that fleets assess driver behaviour by using a proven system such as DriverMetrics, followed by targeted coaching of drivers.”
